Covid-19: Wike commends christians for complying with government directive on public worship

Addressing newsmen after he led the Task Force on Enforcement of the Ban on Public and Religious Gatherings to monitor compliance Governor WIKE said the churches ensured that each service had about fifty worshippers as agreed during the meeting at Government House, Port Harcourt.

 

Governor WIKE was accompanied by the Service Commanders during the monitoring exercise.

 

A statement issued by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Electronic Media, SIMEON NWAKAUDU said all the churches visited had running water, soap and hand sanitizers to disinfect worshippers before and after service.

 

The Governor said for the two churches that failed to comply, an action will be taken against them after review.
