Covid-19: Doctors in Abuja decry non-payment of allowance

The five doctors and four nurses treating over forty COVID-nineteen patients,  including three cleaners working at the isolation centre are supposedly collectively owed over thirty million naira.

Reprt says the doctors were selected and trained by the government for the sensitive nature of the virus, and were promised to be paid fifty thousand naira daily, while the nurses were to be paid forty thousand daily.

Top health officials told newsmen that only forty thousand had been given to each doctor since they started working at the isolation centre on February 15, 2020.
