COMMUNITIES IN ETCHE LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA OF RIVERS STATE DECRY LACK OF ELECTRICITY FOR OVER FIFTY YEARS

These communities include;Ikpo, Umuabali, Umuode, Umuoche, Umueze, Achara, Umuozuzuall in Obibitown of Okehi clan.

Residents of these communities said they do not know what it feels like to have power.

While lamenting over the effect of lack of electricity in their communities, the people called on the state government to come to their aid.

Also speaking, the paramount ruler of Obibi town, His Royal Highness, Adindu-Oluo Raymond said the situation has affected their businesses in the community.

Other respondents who spoke with Today FM’s Sandra Kenneth called on the government to help them in the provision of basic amenities.
