In an interview with today FM’S Preye Izogu, Noble-Dike advised residents to remain indoors during late hours unless they have essential business, to enable the local vigilante identify and apprehend the perpetrators. He assured that security measures had been intensified to combat the trend.
Noble-Dike warned criminal elements in the community to desist from such acts, adding that anyone caught would face the full force of the law. He urged residents to cooperate with the security agencies and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
The Chief Security Officer’s warning comes as residents of Alakahia community are concerned about the recent wave of shop break-ins and theft. The situation has led to a sense of fear and insecurity among residents, with many calling for increased security measures to be put in place.
