Canadian foreign affairs department in a statement said government delegation were in Haiti to consult with stakeholders on options to support Haitian people in resolving the humanitarian and security crises.
The delegation dubbed an assessment mission is also considering how Canada can contribute to the international response and put a stop to the rising gang violence and political unrest in Haiti.
