CAF to Announce Host Nation for 2026 African Nations Championship

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) is poised to announce the host nation for the 2026 African Nations Championship (CHAN), according to reports by BSNSports.com.ng.

Originally scheduled for this year, the 2024 edition of CHAN will now be held in August 2025, with Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda serving as co-hosts.

CAF’s Executive Committee is set to convene this weekend in Rabat, Morocco, where several significant decisions are anticipated. Among the key announcements will be the confirmation of the host country for the 2026 CHAN, as well as the reveal of the host city for the 2025 CAF Awards.

The football governing body’s decisions are expected to shape the continent’s football calendar in the coming years.
