The Associated Press news agency reports that unknown gunmen attacked military sites in different parts of the city in what appeared to be coordinated assaults.Trouble began around 4PM local time, with the army intervening after more than two hours of clashes, killing virtually all eight in Ngagara base.
Meanwhile; a cabinet meeting is in progress in Bujumbura to discuss the 2016 budget, and there has been no mention of the clashes.
