Bakassi : Cameroon sacks indigiens back to Nigeria.

The returnees, who were in their hundreds, arrived at Ikang in Cross Rivers State, after being forced to leave Old Bakassi town by Cameroonian authorities.

A report quoting some of the returnees indicates that they were chased out by Gendarmes for not being able to pay a levy of one hundred thousand naira imposed on them by the Cameroonian government.
