Our correspondent reports that during the ceremony at the council secretariat in Isiokpo, the leaders of the Iceland cult groups in Ikwerre. Emohua and Obio-Akpor was granted pardon.
AMADI JUSTICE who is popularly called ITALIAN came forward after he was given a seven days deadline to embrace the amnesty programme of the state government.
The man was also made to sign the cult renunciation form and publicly denounce his membership of the cult group.
The Chairman of the Amnesty Committee, Sir KENNETH CHINDA presided over the ceremony.
The Caretaker Chairman of Ikwerre council, SAMUEL NWONOSIKE also commended of the Iceland cult leader in Rumuola area of Obio-Akpor, OBINNA OKONKWO for embracing amnesty.
