The posting of HALIRU was approved by the Inspector General of Police, IBRAHIM IDRIS, to replace C.P DON AWUNAH.
C.P HALIRU who is a graduate of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, was moved from the Niger State Police Command, where he served as Commissioner of Police.
He had previously served as Head of Anti-fraud Unit at FCID Abuja, as well as Head of Operations at the Lagos Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
The redeployment of C.P HALIRU was confirmed in a statement released by Police Public Relations Officer of the Akwa Ibom State Command, CHUKWU IKECHUKWU, who is a Deputy Superintendent of Police.
