Correspondent UCHENDU EJIOWHOR reports that the youths wielding placards blocked the Agip facilities while accusing the management of the company of unfair treatment.
Some of the youths who spoke to our correspondent claimed that for over forty years of its operation, the company was yet to employ any youth from the host communities.
The Youth President of the communities, UCHE-FREEMAN OBIGILI threatened that the youths will continue to occupy the facilities of Agip until their demands are met.
When contacted by our correspondent the state Public Relations Officer of the Agip Oil, IFEANYI EHJILE declined comments on the matter.
