Ahoada East communities stage protest over poor state of road

Paramount ruler of Ihuowo community Eze Joseph Onolleka lamented the poor and deplorable state of their roads as he accused multi national in their area of being responsible for the damaged road as he stressed the economic and health impact of oil production in their area.

He stressed the need for urgent attention to be given to his area as he noted that lives have been lost as a result of constant neglect to basic amenities.

Also speaking the CDC chairman of Ihuama community Ugwe  Douglas however lamented the lack of power supply, portable water, assess road despite being host community to SPDC.

Today FM Sandra Kenneth who is monitoring the protest reports that the Ihuama and Ihuowo road is very bad and difficult for vehicular and pedestrian movement.

Further reports that the SPDC had come to  the area with armed men to chase protesters out of the road but was unsuccessful.
