The Minister was at the meeting with some senior officials from her ministry, which was up held with the President of the Senate, AHMAD LAWAN and Speaker of the House of Representatives, FEMI GBAJABIAMILA.
The meeting was held at the National Assembly in Abuja.
According to a statement by the Special Adviser, Media to the Senate President, OLA AWONIYI, the meeting is a follow up of the one previously held last Wednesday between the National Assembly leadership and members of the Presidential Committee on COVID-nineteen.
The Minister of Finance said the proposed intervention fund is expected to be obtained from grants being expected and loans from multilateral Institutions.
She said if the fund is approved, it will also take care of special Public Works Programmes currently being implemented by the National Directorate of Employment.
Also present at the meeting are the Deputy Senate President, Senator OVIE OMO-AGEGE, Deputy Speaker, IDRIS WASE and some principal officers from both Chambers.
