The Ultra Modern Port Harcourt NBA Law Centre was constructed by the Rivers State Government.
Speaking at the ceremony, the NBA President said the facility symbolises the success of the legal profession in Nigeria.
On his part; Governor NYESOM WIKE used the occasion to charges lawyers to render free services to indigent Nigerians.
Governor WIKE said rendering of free legal service to indigent people is the best way the NBA can support his administration.
The outcome of the commissioning ceremony was contained in a statement released by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Electronic Media, SIMEON NWAKAUDU.
However; the visit to Port Harcourt yesterday by the NBA President is drawing negative reactions from some quarters on account of the recent murder of Port Harcourt-based human rights lawyer, KEN ATSUWETE.
A leading youth activist in Rivers State, CHARLES JAJA criticized the NBA leadership over its seeming slow response to the KEN ATSUWETE murder.
