A traditional ruler in Ogoni land has expressed concern about the upsurge of violence that led to the destruction of properties in Bori and Yeghe communities in Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State.His Royal Highness, Mene SUANU BARIDAM condemned in strong terms the alleged killing of two soldiers and other innocent Ogonis in Bori and Yeghe communities.Mene BARIDAM said the incident in Bori reminds the people of the era when Ogonis were massacred by the authorities.He called on the Chief of Army Staff and the Rivers State Government to intervene to stop further bloodshed and destruction of properties in the area.The traditional ruler said Ogoni is a peaceful land and should not be turned into a war zone by some individuals.The position of King BARIDAM was contained in a statement signed by his spokesman, KONFIDENCE KIAKA ATI.
