The duo are being arraigned by the Federal Government on seven charges bordering on an alleged conspiracy to commit treason, money laundering, and insulting the President, among others.
Senior Advocate of Nigeria, ADEYINKA OLUMIDE-FUSIKA who is counsel to SOWORE had maintained that the arraignment should not be allowed to go on, on the grounds that the Department of State Services, which has been keeping SOWORE in custody since August 3, 2019, had not allowed the defendants to consult with their lawyer after the charges were filed.
But the application was dismissed.
Presiding Judge, Justice IJEOMA OJUWKU ordered the remand of SOWORE and BAKARE and adjourned till Friday this week for their bail consideration.
