The Peoples’ Elephants lost the first leg 1-0 to Raja Casablanca in front of their own fans at the newly refurbished Enyimba International Stadium in Aba a fortnight ago and are already in Casablanca to seek redemption.
In a chat with the club’s media, the Kano-born trainer expressed optimism that the 2-time African champions are still in the tie and can get a favourable result:
Meanwhile, According to reports from the media team of Enyimba, the team encountered challenges with the training arrangement as the facility provided by the hosts had no floodlight.
The Aba Giants managed to secure the Complexe Moulay Rechid, but not without stiff opposition from Raja officials. They went to the extent of warning the stadium authorities not to let their guests train there, with threats.
But somehow, the team pulled through and trained for over an hour.
