RSHA Directs NDPR to Sign New Memorandum of Understanding with Five of its Host Community in Ahoada East LGA

The demand is part of the House of Assembly’s efforts to settle the issues between NDPR and its host communities namely Obelle, Obumeze, Oshigboko, Utari and Rumuekpe.
The Speaker of the House, IKUINYI IBANI who read the resolution of the House after debate and voting, said the new MOU will help to stabilize the operations of the company and also assist the host communities.
Our correspondent VICTOR EZEAMA reports that some of the lawmakers criticised the company for operating with what they called an expired MOU.
Chairman of the House Committee of Public Petitions and Complaints and Member representing Ogu-Bolo Constituency, EVANS BIPI said the resolutions of the House if implemented will put an end to the agitations by the affected communities.
