Western diplomats have warned of growing insecurity in Kenya following inflammatory rhetoric and recent attacks on the election commission.
A group of twenty envoys said the latest happenings in Kenya have made it more difficult to hold a legitimate poll.
Meanwhile; opposition protesters have responded to calls for mass demonstrations aimed at disrupting Thursday’s election due to concerns about irregularities.
The main opposition candidate, RAILA ODINGA who is boycotting the election, has also vowed not to allow the vote hold without key reforms, including the sacking of officials of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.
Protests are taking place in Kenya’s western city of Kisumu, with opposition activists calling for postponement of the court-ordered presidential rerun.
ODINGA and his supporters are hinging their calls for reforms base on the annulment of the first vote in August by the Supreme Court due to illegalities and irregularities.
