The campaign is coming more than ninety days since President BUHARI left Abuja to London for his second medical vacation, after transmitting power to his Vice, Professor YEMI OSINBAJO as Acting President.
Some of the key proponents of the agitation are DEJI ADEYANJU and CHARLES OPUTA, also known as CHALLY BOY.
Our correspondent reports that ADEYANJU and CHALLY BOY led other protesters from the Unity Fountain in Abuja, through the streets of the Federal Capital Territory, waving placards with inscriptions directed at the ailing President.
Among other things, they want the National Assembly to invoke Section 144 sub Section 4 of the Constitution and direct the setting up of a medical panel to ascertain whether the President is incapacitated.
However; the protesters lamented that the failure of the National Assembly to call an inquiry into the health of the President shows that the federal lawmakers were compromised.
The group of Concerned Nigerians promised to sustain the protest until the National Assembly does the right thing.
Mobile policemen were also on ground to provide security protesters and ensure the maintenance of law and order.
