Widespread violence mars Venezuela’s constituent assembly election.

Officials of the electoral commission claim that that the turnout was over forty-one percent, while the opposition coalition has refused to recognize the results because of eighty-eight percent of voters abstained.

 

However; President NICOLÁS MADURO has hailed the poll as a vote for the revolution.
