Sierra Leonean health authorities have released the country’s last known Ebola Virus patient from the hospital. Reports say the patient’s release marks the beginning of a forty-two-day countdown until the World Health Organisation can declare the West African country Ebola-free. If it happens, such a declaration would leave just one country left in West Africa with Ebola cases — Guinea, where the epidemic first began in late 2013.
