Information obtained by our correspondent indicates that SAMUEL NWONOSIKE is among those who are returning as local government caretaker chairmen.
The returning CTC Chairman for Ikwerre Local Government would also be serving his third term in that capacity; a situation that was made possible by the amendment of the Rivers State Local Government Law.
The recent amendment by the House of Assembly removes tenure limits for members of Local Government Caretaker Committees.
It also empowers the Governor to appoint members of local government caretaker committees as often as he deemed necessary.
