NTAGANDA, who is facing trial for war crimes at The Hague, said he was ready to die rather than endure the conditions of his detention.
He is accused of using child soldiers, keeping women as sex slaves, and murder in the Democratic Republic of Congo between 2002 and 2003.
NTAGANDA embarked on hunger strike last week, as he complained that he had no possibility of seeing his wife and children again under normal conditions.
He pleaded not guilty to all eighteen charges at the start of his trial last year, and now said he has lost all hope and was ready to die.
