Rangers International of Enugu secured a narrow 2-1 victory over Bendel Insurance in a Nigeria Premier Football League encounter decided in Enugu.
The home side took the lead in the 15th minute through Godwin Obaje, who finished clinically to put Rangers ahead early in the game.
Bendel Insurance responded strongly and restored parity in the 41st minute when Alex Oweilaiyefa converted a well-taken effort to make it 1-1 before halftime.
Rangers eventually regained control in the second half and sealed the win with a penalty in the 65th minute, again converted by Obaje to complete his brace.
The result keeps Rangers firmly at the top of the NPFL standings as the season approaches its final stages. (Sofascore)
