The Future Awards Africa Independent Opens Nominations in Four States

The Future Awards Africa Independent (TFAAi) has announced the opening of nominations for its inaugural edition, set to begin on Friday, 27 March 2026, in Abia State, Kano State, Rivers State, and Oyo State.

Building on the legacy of The Future Awards Africa (TFAA), TFAAi aims to recognise young changemakers driving innovation and progress at the grassroots level. The initiative seeks to highlight individuals whose work is creating impact in local communities, often without widespread recognition.

Categories for nominations vary by state and cover fields such as entertainment, entrepreneurship, technology, arts, education, public service, agriculture, fashion, health, and more. Among the prizes are the Future Awards Africa Independent Prize for Emerging Leader (Under 25), Social Impact, Community Action, Law, Energy and Sustainability, and On-Air Personality, reflecting a wide range of sectors and contributions.

Ngozi Chijuka, Project Lead of TFAA, noted that the platform is designed to bridge the visibility gap for grassroots impact. She said, “We have a significant number of individuals contributing meaningfully within their communities that often go unnoticed. TFAAi creates an opportunity to bring that work to light and ensure it receives the recognition it deserves.”

Interested nominators can submit entries via the official website, where category descriptions and submission requirements are available.
