There were no sensitive election materials at INEC office in Bori at the time it was attacked by suspected arsonists – Gov Wike

Governor WIKE said INEC only used the Bori incident as an excuse to delay the conduct of the rerun to mislead the nation, stressing that Rivers State enjoys relative peace.

The governor made the observations while addressing members of the Nigerian guild of editors on the second day of the all editors’ conference in Port Harcourt.

Governor WIKE also promised to continue to implement policies that will protect the economy of Nigeria, irrespective of the fact that he is not a member of the ruling party.

Governor  WIKE  said he will never support  any action that will sabotage  the economy  of the country, as Rivers State will be negatively  affected  by  any loss of  economic  fortunes.
