The deceased was identified ALEX ONYE, who was a member of the local vigilante group until his murder over the weekend.
Our correspondent FELIX OJOGWU spoke with some residents of the community who confirmed the killing of ONYE by unknown gunmen.
The respondents said the community has been in shock since the incident, with inhabitants leaving in fear of reprisal attacks.
The Chairman of the Odiabidi Vigilante group, GOODNEWS ELE, said the police have been informed and investigation is ongoing to unravel those behind the murder of ONYE.
ELE also called on government to strengthen security in the area to counter criminals around Ahoada.
