ANIETE is accusing the Rukpakani Divisional Police of harassment, assault, arrest and unlawful detention.
She said she was arrested for a crime allegedly committed by her son, THANKGOD UDUAK.
Counsel to the applicant, CHRISTIAN NJIGUM told our correspondent that the police tampered with the rights and liberty of ANIETTE and her daughter.
NJIGUM said they are also asking for twenty million naira in damages, as well as a perpetual injunction restraining the police from further harassment of UDUAK ANIETE.
Our correspondent reports that the suit is expected to be assigned to one of the vacation courts.
