A statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, NNAMDI OMONI disclosed that exhibits recovered from the suspects include one locally made Revolver pistol and four rounds of live ammunition.
The Police spokesman said the suspects have already revealed that they are responsible for attacks on market women around Education bus-stop and Mile Three Market areas,
Similarly; the Crack Team of the Rivers State Police Command has smashed a kidnapping syndicate that operates from a forest at Rumuji community in Emohua Local Government Area.
DSP NNAMDI OMONI said the leader of the kidnapping gang identified simply as EMMANUEL, but with the alias OBIRIKON, was arrested during the operation.
OMONI also said three hostages who were kidnapped while traveling in a boat from Port Harcourt to Bonny were rescued by the Police Crack Team at a kidnappers’ den around Abonnema Creek.
