Reports say the man blew himself up and injured twelve people with a backpack bomb near the venue of a festival in Ansbach.
The BBC quoted the Interior Minister of the German state of Bavaria recounting that the twenty-seven-year-old bomber detonated the device after he was refused entry to the music festival.
Following the explosion; about two thousand, five hundred people were evacuated from the venue.
