PDP Obio/Akpor Dedicates Campaign to God Ahead of LGA Elections

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Obio/Akpor Local Government has dedicated its campaign team to God for spiritual guidance ahead of the August 30th LGA election campaign flag-off.

The dedication service was held on Sunday at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Choba. Speaking after the service, the PDP chairmanship candidate, Dr. Gift Worlu, described his emergence as the party’s standard bearer as divinely orchestrated.

PDP chairman in Obio/Akpor, Innocent Paddy Wali, said Worlu’s victory in the primaries was due to his impressive track record, while the local government campaign chairman, Collins Amadi, expressed eagerness for the campaigns to commence, assuring that residents would be impressed by Worlu’s plans if elected.

The event was attended by key party figures, including Rivers State PDP chairman Aaron Chukwuemeka, suspended Speaker of the State House of Assembly Martin Amaewhule, House of Representatives member for Obio/Akpor Federal Constituency Okey Chinda, and the 16 councillorship candidates.
