Presidency defends appointments made by President MUHAMMADU BUHARI.

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, FEMI ADESINA, said contrary to claims of nepotism, not all appointments are subject to the Federal Character Principle.

He was reacting to statistics reeled out by Channels Television, which show the North-West benefitting the most from President BUHARI’s appointments so far.

With thirty-four appoints for the North-East alone, the entire north accounts for seventy-five appointments, while the South-West, South-South and South-East have forty-five appointments shared among them

In his response; the Presidential spokesman admitted that some regions are more favoured in the appointment, but said more appointments would still be made.

FEMI ADESINA said the case of security chiefs was a peculiar one because hierarchy has to be followed in such appointments.
