The Rivers State Vehicle Inspection Office, led by Chief Vehicle Inspection Officer KOBHO MONIBO, has announced that driver’s licenses will only be approved following vehicle and driver inspections. This policy, developed in collaboration with the Rivers State Ministry of Transport, aims to enhance road safety by ensuring vehicles are roadworthy. MONIBO highlighted alarming statistics showing many car owners operate their vehicles for over five years without renewing necessary paperwork. The Vehicle Inspection Office is the only authorized body to enforce these paper renewals, and car owners are advised to prepare for upcoming inspections.
