This was made known in the 25th Memorial Environmental summit in recognition of the strides of Ken Saro-Wiwa in the region.
Speaking at the event, Environmental Right Activist Nnimo Bassey, reminded the youths that the issues confronting the region before the execution of the Ogoni 9 are still present today.
On their part, Celestine Akpobari, Chima Williams and Ken Henshaw stated that a holistic study and audit need to be carried out in the Niger Delta polluted environment beyond Ogoniland.
They also called on International stakeholders to collaborate with local movement to create a framework in monitoring clean up processes across the globe.
