At the meeting, which is the first this year, the commission chairman presented the 2023 voter register to the parties ahead of the elections as required by the 2022 Electoral Act.
The commission also presented a register containing ninety three million, four hundred and sixty nine thousand and eight voters for the 2023 general elections.
The voter distribution also reveals that forty four million, four hundred and fourteen thousand eight hundred and forty six registered voters are females, and forty nine million, fifty four thousand, one hundred and sixty two are males.
Of the total registered voters, the number of young people between the ages of eighteen and thirty four represent thirty nine point six five per cent, while the elderly between the ages of fifty and sixty nine stood at eighteen point nine four.
The INEC chairman said with the presentation of voter register, the commission has successfully implemented eleven out of the fourteen activities scheduled for the 2023 general elections.
