100 migrants rescued by Libyan coastguards.

The migrants took off from Sabratha, a town seventy kilometres west of Libya’s capital Tripoli, before their boat’s engine failed.

Reports say the vessel was intercepted by a coastguard patrol boat around twenty nautical miles northeast of Tripoli.

Officials said those on board were of various African nationalities including ten women, five children and a baby.
