Nigeria occupies tenth position in Africa and fifty-second in the world in the latest ranking of football nations by FIFA.
Nigeria ranks behind Egypt, Congo, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Senegal, as well as Tunisia, Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire and Algeria, which maintains the top spot in Africa.

 

Nigeria occupies tenth position in Africa and fifty-second in the world in the latest ranking of football nations by FIFA.
Nigeria ranks behind Egypt, Congo, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Senegal, as well as Tunisia, Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire and Algeria, which maintains the top spot in Africa.
However, Cape Verde emerges as the biggest gainer, leaping fifteen places to number six in Africa and forty-one in the world stage.
Algeria is nineteenth in the world; Cote d’Ivoire is twenty-first; Ghana is twenty-fifth; while Tunisia is thirty-sixth.
The world football governing body ranked Cameroon forty-eighth; Congo forty-ninth and Egypt is at number fifty-one in the world.
Also; Liberia climbed more places than any other nation, shooting up sixty-five places to claim the ninety-fifth spot on the global ranking.
