CAF approves 29 teams to partake in 2019 ACN.

 Confederation of African Football, CAF, has approved twenty-four teams to take part in the next Africa Cup of Nations tournament place in 2019.

The decision was approved by the CAF Executive Committee during its meeting in the Moroccan capital, Rabat.

 

The decision sees an improvement in Africa's flagship sporting event from sixteen teams since 1996.

 

CAF Executive Committee has also approved for the AFCON finals to be moved from January and February to June and July.

 

Meanwhile; Cameroon is billed to host the next AFCON tournament amid concerns about problems due to preparations that are already running behind schedule.
