Abia Warriors head coach, Okey Emordi has said his side did not bargain for the draw against former champions, Enyimba in the "Abia Derby".

The Umuahia Warriors were forced to 0-0 draw by the People’s Elephant in yesterday's NPFL matchday 4 oriental clash at the Umuahia Township Stadium.

Emordi said there is nothing ‘brotherly’ in the clash as both sides came out strongly to undo the other side.

“The truth is that there is nothing ‘brotherly’ as the two teams came out determined to win the match.

“Perhaps the barren score line is the way God wanted the match to end.

“I will say we never bargained for the barren draw as we came into the game with a mind-set to claim the whole three points at stake.

“Well I would not say the home draw is a bad result as it could have been worst if we lost the clash.

“In football it’s either you win, draw or lose, we have drawn the game we will move on to fight for the lost points elsewhere,”.

The goalless draw against Enyimba leaves Abia Warriors’ total earnings on seven points from possible 12 in the four-week old Nigerian top-flight.
