Akwa United yesterday thrashed visiting Ikorodu United three-zero in a rescheduled Match Day 2 fixture at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
Our correspondent reports that UBONG EKPAI, HARRISON IBUKUN and CYRIL OLISEMAH all scored, as the ten-man Akwa United team, after EMEKA ISAAC was sent off before half time for a second booking offence.With the victory, the Uyo-based team moves to 4th place on the Nigeria Professional Football League table, with ten points and a game in hand.
