The Rivers State Government appears to have resolved to replace members of the Joint Health Sector Union of Nigeria who have been on strike for over five weeks.
This followed a publication in a local tabloid calling for applications to fill vacancies created in government health institutions by the striking JOHESU members.
Following the development; the Rivers State council of the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress entered into a meeting yesterday to review the development and decide on an appropriate intervention.
