NEW COLOMBIA PRESIDENT IVÁN DUQUE PROMISES TO TACKLE CORRUPTION
Iván Duque has been sworn-in as the new President of Colombia, with a promise to unite the country and improve economic growth.
President Duque, who is a conservative political newcomer, was elected in June after a divisive campaign where he saw off left-wing rival Gustavo Petro.
In his inauguration speech, the new President pledged changes to tackle corruption and also change the peace deal with the Farc rebel group.
However; the outgoing President Juan Manuel Santos urged his successor to respect the deal, which was negotiated in 2016 to bring an end to the country's brutal five-decade civil conflict.
