NDLEA INTERCEPTS COCAINE IN PORT HARCOURT

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, have seized seven point five kilograms of cocaine at the Port Harcourt terminal of the Nigerian Ports Authority.

 

 

Our correspondent Chinedu Iwunna reports that three suspects were also arrested in connection with the seized drugs.

 

The NDLEA Director of Prosecution and Legal Services, Sunday Mbonna told newsmen that the seizure was made after months of extensive surveillance and monitoring of the suspected container that was designated for Port Harcourt.

 

 

Sunday Mbonna said the seizure was the first of its kind in at the NPA terminal in Port Harcourt, and he thanked all those who played key roles in the breakthrough

 

 

The NDLEA official also conducted newsmen around the container with an inbuilt metal compartment where the hard drug was allegedly hidden.
