President MUHAMMADU BUHARI has encouraged Christians to see the celebration of Easter as a time of great promise and hope for the nation, Nigeria despite the challenges faced by the country.

Recounting that Easter is the season Christians mark the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, President BUHARI said it represents the triumph of good over evil; and life over death.

BUHARI said the season also calls for the sharing of love, forgiveness, compassion and renewed hope in the grace of God.

He said the Holy Scripture affirms that happiness and fulfillment in life do not flow from acquiring the best things, but in being richer in a relationship with God and fellow human beings.

The President’s Easter goodwill message was contained in a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, FEMI ADESINA.
