The usual boom in foodstuff, clothing and household goods experienced by traders during festive seasons appears to be lacking in the markets around Rivers State capital, Port Harcourt.


Our correspondent ELFREDAH ALERECHI spoke with some traders who complained on low patronage, although some acknowledge that the situation now was better than same time last year. 

The respondents called on the government to intervene by ensuring that civil servants are paid their entitlements.
