Nigerian Senators Reacts to Killings at Mgbuoshimini

Reactions continue to trail the killing of fifteen people at Mgbuoshimin in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.

Senator ANDREW UCHENDU in whose Rivers East Senatorial District the incident happened on Monday morning is calling for synergy between the state and the federal government to improve security for the people.
According to a statement by his spokesman, SOLOMON OKOCHA, Senator UCHENDU condemned the wanton killings and destruction of properties in the state, as he sympathized with families of the victims.
The Deputy Chairman of the Senate Committee on Public Procurement also assured Rivers people of his efforts to seek legislative intervention to check insecurity in the state.
On his part; Senator MAGNUS ABE of Rivers South-East Senatorial District also condemned the killings at Mgbuoshimini and condoled with the families of the victims and the entire people of the community.
Senator ABE expressed worry over the rising cases of violent crime in the state and called on the Rivers State Government to assist security agencies with the needed tools to tackle security challenges in the state.
