Security has been beefed up around around Mgbuoshimini community in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, as violence continued to rage, with a least fifteen people reported killed around the waterside last night.

Our correspondent who visited the area reports that a couple and a nursing mother were among those killed, as several people gathered at the palace of the Paramount Ruler of Mgbuoshimini to identify their bodies of the victims.
Those who spoke to our correspondent lamented that the high number of casualties is because most families that were rendered homeless due to the demolition of the makeshift structures on the waterside sleep in the open.
Security operatives have been deployed to the area, with more than a dozen patrol trucks seen by our correspondent.
