The cult violence raging in some

communities in Emohua and Ikwerre local

government areas of Rivers State has

degenerated.

Our correspondent reports that there has

been another attack at Omudioga community

in Emohua, where many houses have been

destroyed  and at least one person killed.

The Chairman of the Community Development

Committee, BRIGHT AYAELE, told our

correspondent on telephone than armed

cultists stormed the area in the early

hours of today.

AYAELE, who said he was calling from

hiding, said the armed men fired random

gunshots, knocking down houses and setting

others on fire.

He said the entire inhabitants of Omudioga

community have been sacked, while there

were no security operatives at the time of

filing the report.

The latest cult violence at Omudioga comes

hours after the community stakeholders had

raised alarm about the impending attack

and requested for increased security

surveillance in the area.

You will recall that at least seven

persons were killed within Omudioga when

the latest cult clashes erupted over the

weekend, including four who were beheaded.

The violence also spread to neighbouring

Omerelu community in Ikwerre Local

Government Area where two persons were

also killed on Sunday.
