speculations are rife that the leader of the so-called Islamic State group, ABU BAKR AL-BAGHDADI may have been killed.

Russia's defence ministry is now investigating whether AL-BAGHDADI died in one of its air strikes in Syria, which killed up to three hundred and thirty other fighters on 28th May.

Russian officials said the raid had targeted a meeting of the IS military council in its de-facto capital of Raqqa in northern Syria.

They claimed thirty Islamic State commanders and up to three hundred fighters were at the Raqqa meeting.
